Modernians win a Club Gala
The Modernian team put in a fantastic performance at the Wellingborough Springfir trophy gala on 22nd May. Winning 33 of the 50 events on the evening, including all but two of the relays, the team came first beating Wellingborough A & B Teams, Aylesbury & District, Melton Mowbray, and Daventry Dolphins.
Congratulations to all who took part, there were some great individual performances including 12 PB's.

Raffle for framed Modernian polo shirt signed by various members of the GB Swim team.
Chris, our club secretary, was lucky
enough to officiate last summer at the British Gas Grand Prix just after the
World Championships.
He was even luckier to get many of the Team GB swimmers signatures on a
Modernian club Shirt. We are now raffling the signed and framed shirt.
Here is a photo, of the shirt along with a close up of Liam Tancock's signature.
Jo will also bring the t-shirt to some training sessions for you to have a look
at more closely.

Along with Liam's signature, others include, Ross Davenport, Rebecca Adlington, Jo Jackson, Caitlin McClatchey, Hannah Miley, and Fran Halsall.
Along with many more British team members, there is also the Canadian 200m Breaststroke world record holder Annamay Pierce, and members of the world record setting Canadian Men's 4X200M Freestyle relay team.
