		Welcome to The Modernian Swimming Club Website Latest Club News Beds ASA Development Meet If you look on the fixtures list next too the Beds ASA Development Meet in September you will now find an accepted entries list, showing all the Modernian swimmers who have been accepted to swim at the Development meet. British National Youth Championships Sam Briggs qualified in an impressive three events at the recent British Gas National Youth Championships. He had great swims in the 100m freestyle, 100m backstroke and 50m freestyle, peaking with a semi-final placing in the 50m freestyle to finish 17th in his age group in the event Swim Wales Summer Nationals Congratulations to Nicholas Stalley & Charlotte Ovenden, for their outstanding performances at the Welsh National Championships. Charlotte is now National Champion in 50 Breaststroke, 100 Breaststroke, 100 Backstroke, and 100 freestyle. She also picked up Silver medals in five other events and a bronze medal. Nicholas is National champion in 100 Breaststroke, and also had a Silver medal in 200 Breaststroke. Raffle for framed Modernian polo shirt signed by various members of the GB Swim team. The draw for this great prize was made on the morning of our Summer Splash event. The happy winner was Mr Chris Stalley, who very generously then donated the prize to the Swim Centre, so if you go along to the Centre on Castle Road you will be able to see the shirt taking pride of place. Training Session Times Changing Please note that Monday evenings session times for the Junior Squad will change after our Summer break. From Monday 6^th September they will permanently change to 6.15-7.15pm. This change has been forced upon us as a result of the two girls schools in town merging.
